Surgical Information Systems Conference Presentation: "Can Your Perioperative System Help Show Process Improvement?"

Randy Heiser, President and CEO of Sullivan Healthcare Consulting, Inc., spoke at the 2007 Surgical Information Systems Conference.  Mr. Heiser’s presentation entitled, “Can Your Perioperative System Help Show Process Improvement?” introduced the concept of Process Improvement, a series of actions taken to identify, analyze, and improve existing process within a healthcare organization to meet new goals and objectives.  He also addressed the application of Process Improvement in specific surgical settings, covering topics such as optimal case scheduling, on-time case start targets, preference card accuracy and management, and charge capture.
