Association of PeriOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) Baltimore Chapter Presentation: "The Consultants are Coming!"

Tammy Tenerowicz, Senior Consultant for SHC, presented a talk entitled, “The Consultants are Coming!” in which she outlined the surgical services consulting process.  Topics such as the members of a consulting team, the departments included in a perioperative consultation, the types of perioperative consultative projects, and the typical report contents were covered.  Ms. Tenerowicz also touched on the highly important matter of how perioperative nurses and staff will experience on-site consultation activities, and the special considerations a consultant must make in order to provide the best experience possible for the staff.
